Activities at Corrina Lodge Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Hi, my name is Sharon, and I'm part of the activities team here at Corrina Lodge and have worked here for over 20 years. I thoroughly enjoy my job and have achieved an NVQ Level 3 in Activities whilst working here. During my time here, I have met some truly amazing people and I feel privileged to work in a home with such a sense of community.

Life at Corrina Lodge Care Home
Mothers Day Celebrations
Mothering Sunday is always special in the Corrina calendar. This year more than most we made a real fuss of everyone. A relaxing morning and bouquets of flowers delivered. Followed by a special three course meal prepared and served by the chef, complete with fizz. Then a beautiful afternoon tea filled with sweet treats and pots of tea.
Scrabble afternoon
A firm favourite past time for the Residents at Corrina Lodge. Lots of good old competitive fun.
International Women's Day
Celebrating all the strong independent women. We took a look back through history and spoke about lots of different women through the ages. We learnt, discussed and laughed a lot. The afternoon bought films and fizz for everyone.
Birthday's in the visiting suite
Here at Corrina Lodge we are so lucky to have the great addition of our visiting suite. It means that families can spend time with loved ones comfortably and safely. Freda had a fabulous 90th birthday recently and our suite came alive with fun and laughter.
Entertaining in a virtual world
Although we are unable to entertainers through the door at the moment, we understand the importance of social interaction. So Daniel a local entertainer and friend to the home, agreed to play a concert for us via Zoom. It was a different experience but one everyone enjoyed all the same. Everyone had their feet tapping and heads bopping.
Long service award
We always like to celebrate success here at Corrina Lodge and when we knew that Pauline our administrator was celebrating 15 years of dedicated service it didn't go unnoticed. She was presented with Flowers, Chocolates a voucher and a bottle of fizz to enjoy.
