Activities at our home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Life at Castle Care Village - Castle Rise

The Christmas Spirit

We switched on our Christmas lights on 3rd December and were joined by Santa and his little elf.

Summer Sun

Summer Sun

Our residents and staff have loved spending lots of time in our gardens recently as the weather has been so great! We hope the fine weather continues for the rest of the summer so we can spend even more time in the garden.

Castle Karaoke

Castle Karaoke

Karaoke is always a popular event here at Castle Rise. Singers perform to a small but enthusiastic crowd, and all performances receive a warm round of applause and requests for more.

Castle Rise Bake-Off

Baking is a particular favourite of many residents here at Castle Rise; they really enjoy getting creative and, of course, having a taste test once everything's finished.

An Afternoon in the Sun

Because of the recent spot of great weather, we decided to spend an afternoon in the garden. Residents really enjoyed their time in the sun and – fingers crossed – we can enjoy much more time outside in the coming months.

Afternoon Tea and Roulette

Residents at Castle Rise had a great afternoon recently, enjoying an afternoon tea whilst playing a competitive game of roulette! The residents discuss what activities they want to do on a daily basis here at Castle Rise and we facilitate this as much as we can. This often includes days out as well as a variety of activities at the home.
