Carlton Mansions Care Home in Clifton, Bristol
We are planning the re-development of Carlton Mansions Care Home as the facilities and environment at the home are not aligned to the standards we expect, and strive for at Barchester Healthcare. Due to the significant work needed we are sorry to say that we are not able to do this whilst residents are living in the home, so have made the difficult decision to close the home whilst we do this. We hope that this would be completed in 2021, but it is not possible to say for sure.

Carlton Mansions Care Home is superbly located near to all of Clifton's local amenities, including the station, parks, and boutique shops and restaurants on Whiteladies Road. You’ll find us near to Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and restaurants such as Jamie Oliver's and Browns. Our home specialises in deliver high quality dementia care to those who need it.
Our bedrooms are set across three floors, and there is a dining room and two communal lounges. We also have a beautiful garden where residents can enjoy the outdoors and take part in gardening activities.
All our staff go the extra mile to make the residents’ lives as enjoyable and easy as possible. As well as our team of carers, district nurses visit the home daily, and the GP comes every week. We also have local dentists, opticians, and chiropodists who we work with to provide the care our residents need.
Our spacious dining room on the ground floor serves meals prepared by our Chef at the home. The dining room always becomes a hub of conversation and laughter, and mealtimes give all residents a chance to come together and socialise. Whether it’s Fish and Chips Friday or a traditional Sunday roast, we encourage our residents to make the most of living in a friendly environment.
A willingness to get involved and try new things is something we see time and again, with our Magic Moments Activity programme. We have a dedicated Activities Coordinator who oversees everything, but all our staff regularly brainstorm new ideas, too.
Types of care
The care we provide is delivered in a way that promotes independence for those who live in our home. Where possible, it is important that residents are encouraged to perform daily tasks independently or with minor support. Our services are devised with individualised treatment in mind for each person, so getting to know everyone and understanding their needs is imperative to delivering bespoke, person-centred care.Read more

Hi, my name is Maraya, and I am the General Manager here at Carlton Mansions. Welcome to our website!
I have worked at Carlton Mansions since early 2020. I transferred from Cepen Lodge, a sister home, where I was a Team Leader on Memory Lane, the home's dedicated dementia community. I have experience in healthcare, including 8 years dental nursing and 5 years in health & social care.
I have enjoyed working at Carlton Mansions; working with the team, residents and families have made me feel welcome. I am very passionate about my work and enjoy learning something new every day.Get in touch Meet my team
