Activities at Bryn Ivor Lodge Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Anna Przybylska

Lead Activities Coordinator

Hello, my name is Anna and I am the Lead Activities Co-ordinator in Bryn Ivor Lodge.

I have a degree In Tourism & Hotel Management, with specialisation in Organising Events & Activities’. I have also finished several courses and training to be able to deliver excellent activities that would work best in care settings.

I have begun my career as Activities Co-ordinator over 15 years ago and gained really good experience working in various care settings.

I am very compassionate about my job and I take great pleasure in helping others and seeing people happy. My main priority is to provide activities tailored to the needs of our Residents. I always make sure all our Residents feel included and interested in the activities our home provides. Nothing is too much trouble for me and I hope our Residents and their family and friends will spend many memorable moments enjoying the activities and events we provide.

For the Love of Music

For the Love of Music

We recently had a visit from Caerphilly Lions and Friends Ukele Band; they put on a wonderful performance for residents.

School Visit

School Visit

We had the pleasure of welcoming children from the local school, Marshfield Primary. They had a wonderful time at Bryn Ivor Lodge and had great plans to keep the gardens looking wonderful.

Emergency Services Visit

Emergency Services Visit

We were joined by the emergency services, who stopped by at Bryn Ivor whilst they were on their coffee break.

Pamper Day

Pamper Day

The pamper day was held by Tropic Cosmetics. The residents were invited to have a hand and arm massage or facial or foot treatment all for a minimal fee. 25% of the fees were donated by the beautician, Tracey Mason, to our charity for this year which is The Huntington's Disease Association. All of the residents thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we also raised forty pounds for our charity.

Bryn Ivor Choir

Bryn Ivor Choir

At Bryn Ivor Lodge, we have our own choir, which has been a great success. The majority of the choir comprises residents from from our Memory Lane communities; they held a concert for their families, which was wonderful and we are all so proud of them. It was quite an emotional experience and a few family members shed a tear. The choir has been such a success that we intend to continue in the new year.
