Activities at Badgeworth Court Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators provide a stimulating social programme to suit residents' individual tastes and desires, and offer group or one-to-one activities based on individual preferences. We are a dedicated team that always ensures residents have enough to do to keep them stimulated and entertained. There are regular trips out on the minibus to nearby places of interest, and exercise classes to suit people of all capabilities, in addition to much, much more.

Secret Santa

Our team members continue to promote the Christmas spirit throughout Badgeworth Court Care Centre.

Today we held our yearly Secret Santa in which all team member participated in the giving and receiving of gifts.

We would like to take this opportunity from all the team members to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Advent calendar

It is time to Celebrate Christmas and continuing to celebrate our community spirit.

Our Activities Coordinator, who is absent from work for health reasons, together with the Portuguese Community and inspired by other Community projects, carried out advent Calendar to our Memory Lane and to the Catholic School of St Gregory the Great.

The advent Calendar was donated to the St Gregory the Great has received to Mrs. Rachel Penney who is a school teacher. Mrs Rachel is very pleased to share this Christmas gift with her class.

It was with great gratification the teacher received and shared the calendar with the children. Thank you for all the Portuguese community who spent their time to support this Project, a special thank you to Marcelina Silva who supported our Activities Coordinator for believing in this project

Christmas Fete

Our residents, team members and relatives had a busy day with our Christmas Fête with local stallholders selling different items.

Afterwards, they were so pleased to have the Mini Concerts with our favourite Christmas songs, in the Main Lounge with mulled wine, mince pies and cakes provided to our fantastic Chef.  There are always so many Christmas options for our residents. Thank you so much to our team for providing this wonderful day to our Badgeworth family.

World Animal Time

Residents has a lovely surprise to celebrate World Animal Time! Our home is still closed to people and our 4 legged friends, so team members dressed up as animals for the residents of Memory Lane! It was a morning full of smiles, laughs and sharing animal stories.

Pottery Painting

Creative pottery painting for our residents is an excellent way to keep their mind stimulated and to use the imagination. We decorated little pumpkins to decorated our lovely home.

Celebrating Cliff

We celebrated Cliff Richard's birthday in style. Our residents had a fun quiz about Cliff Richard, followed by a round of 'Name That Tune' based on music from the 1960s.

We brought the music of Cliff Richard to all the communities at Badgeworth, bringing back many memories of music and we reminisced with stories from the 1960s, including our resident, Terry, who told us about when he met the man himself!

It was a great afternoon enjoyed by all, especially our resident, Ray, who shared with us a CD of some of his favourite 60s singers.
