Activities at Ashford House Care Home

Here at Ashford House we try to aim to cater to everyone’s hobbies and preferences, nothing is impossible! All our activities are designed to empower our residents helping them complete meaningful activities that stimulate them mentally, physically and emotionally. As well as sticking to 'mainstream' activities that you would normally find in this kind of environment, we aim to step outside the box with our provision. We think this is the best way of creating person-centred activities, as each plan is uniquely crafted around each individual, who are treated with respect and dignity in their choices and supported to take control of how they spend their time.

Sheeba Khan

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Sheeba, and I am an Activities Coordinator here at Ashford House.

Having a degree in Fine-Arts and a creative background enables me to plan person-centred activities according to the personalities and tastes of our residents here at Ashford House. I believe and work towards making a positive difference to their day to day life and I can honestly say this is one of the most rewarding jobs. I am really enjoying my role as an Activities Co-Ordinator at Ashford House.

Thank you Town Farm School

Today at Ashford House we have been out delivering fruit hampers to the community, and we delivered a very special one to the lovely children at Town Farm School and Nursery Along with their fruit hamper we also sent a little treat box with our pen pal replies in and enclosed some memorabilia from when our residents were growing up, so the children can see the different childhoods that they had. It is so important for our residents to feel connected to our local community and to the younger generations.  They have so much wisdom and have lead amazing lives, which they love to share, and that's what makes our pen pal scheme so great, It makes a huge difference to their lives and wellbeing and is beautiful to see

Winter Olympics Fun

This week our lovely residents have been enjoying the Winter Olympics in Beijing. Healthy Deliveries

Our amazing General Manager Daisy had some fruit baskets made by our teams to deliver out to some of our friends in our community.   Amongst the services we visited was The Orchard Day Centre  in Chertsey.  The centre is an amazing place, they run a support service and a day centre for people living with dementia in our area.    Our residents and staff here at Ashford House are hoping that the Orchard Centre enjoyed the healthy fruit basket.
