Activities at Ashford House Care Home

Here at Ashford House we try to aim to cater to everyone’s hobbies and preferences, nothing is impossible! All our activities are designed to empower our residents helping them complete meaningful activities that stimulate them mentally, physically and emotionally. As well as sticking to 'mainstream' activities that you would normally find in this kind of environment, we aim to step outside the box with our provision. We think this is the best way of creating person-centred activities, as each plan is uniquely crafted around each individual, who are treated with respect and dignity in their choices and supported to take control of how they spend their time.

Hi, my name is Sheeba, and I am an Activities Coordinator here at Ashford House.

Having a degree in Fine-Arts and a creative background enables me to plan person-centred activities according to the personalities and tastes of our residents here at Ashford House. I believe and work towards making a positive difference to their day to day life and I can honestly say this is one of the most rewarding jobs. I am really enjoying my role as an Activities Co-Ordinator at Ashford House.

Santa's been

This year at Ashford House Care Centre, Santa contacted several local business's and tasked them with sourcing and delivering beautiful gifts to our care home for all our residents. It was a win win situation, the residents loved their gifts and our local business's benefited.

Winners of our luxury Afternoon Tea competition

We are so please to announce that the winners of the of our 'High tea Box' competition, received their goodies on Friday.  It was so lovely to be involved with this.  Our Winners, Angela and Lisa really appreciated their win.  To win the ladies nominated someone they thought deserved an amazing afternoon high tea, made by our fabulous kitchen team, and in return also won a high tea  for themselves. Whilst delivering into our great community we also took the opportunity to deliver high tea boxes to some of the local unsung hero's that live amongst us.

Cake Competition

During this festive period our fantastic head chef Sharon, and her team have been running a schedule of competitions on our Facebook page to win some of the goodies that our residents have on a daily basis.  The above traditional Christmas cake was created for a 'Guess the weight' of the cake competition.  If you would like to win this cake find us on Facebook and guess the weight of the cake.
