Prestbury Beaumont 'provides excellent care services'

A Barchester care home in a quiet Cheshire village has again been awarded top marks for the standard of its services by inspectors.

Prestbury Beaumont care home has been awarded a rating of "excellent" following a routine assessment by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

This is the highest accolade the CQC awards, reflecting the high-quality care provided to the residents at the home.

General Manager of the Prestbury care home Mark Shockledge said of the award: "We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality care, and we respect and celebrate the individuality of all of our residents.

"The excellent rating is as a testament to the hard work and dedication of my team."

In March 2009, Prestbury Beaumont was also awarded an excellent rating for its Domiciliary Care Service, which supports people who live in their own properties within the home's extensive grounds.

It was recently announced by the CQC that the method of rating care homes is to change with the introduction of new legislation from October 1st.

The CQC has confirmed it will be working with key stakeholders to determine how the new system may work.
