Lionel Blair is at the forefront of an Age UK campaign to spread the warmth this winter.
The idea behind Lionel's Wheel of Warmth is that it will encourage people to carry out good deeds and simple acts of kindness, supporting each other through the coldest months.
Set up as part of Age UK's Spread the Warmth drive, the campaign hopes to encourage more donations to Age UK shops, giving up seats to those more in needs on a commute or regularly checking up on older friends or relatives.
Lionel said: "January can be pretty chilly but it doesn't have to be a miserable month. A good deed always puts an extra spring in my step. Spin my wheel to get an act of kindness that will warm up your winter - and help Age UK break the ice for older people."
This comes after the Stroke Association reports that cold weather increases the chances of a stroke, with dropping temperatures pushing up blood pressure.
