Care worker recognised for dedication at national awards
A care worker from Cheshire has been recognised for her dedicated service at a national awards ceremony.
Mary Price, who works at the Brookfield House Care Home in the north-west village of Lymm, was shortlisted from more than 400 entries from similar care homes across the country, the Congleton Guardian reports.
Ms Price was presented with a certificate in the Barchester Foundation category at the glitzy Barchester Healthcare Awards, in tribute to the way she has made a real difference to the lives of the residents in her care home.
"All the staff and residents at Brookfield have been behind her 100 per cent," Brookfield House's general manager Sarah Nolan told the publication.
Brookfield House Care Home offers residential care, as well as short-term breaks for respite care, with an emphasis on the individual needs of residents.
The facility was recently rated as 'Excellent' by care home inspectors the Care Quality Commission on their last visit.
