Registered hospitals

In our registered hospitals, we focus on enabling recovery from enduring mental illness through choice, change and a positive attitude to improvements in lifestyle.

We work in partnership with PCTs across England to provide a rehabilitation-focused, step-down service from medium or low secure accommodation. This is designed for adults living with enduring mental health conditions.

Stepping up to recovery
Our highly-trained specialist teams use a recovery model of personalised care to empower individuals and help them take control of their daily life.

Via mutually supportive relationships, people are encouraged and enabled to direct their own treatment, write their own care plans and define their mental health needs from their own perspective.

Through this informed choice, individuals can pick which therapies, activities or sessions they feel would benefit them the most - an approach that offers respect and dignity for individual's preferences and the fact that no two people are the same.

Daily therapies could include:

  • Structured one to one psychology sessions led by our Consultant Psychologist
  • Life skills sessions led by our Occupational Therapist
  • Therapeutic and recreational activity supported by our Activities Coordinator

Additional nurse-led sessions for individuals or groups can also be provided to meet identified needs.
