Mental health care and support
Our mental health services are unique to the needs of the locality, in one area for example we support people with longer term severe and enduring mental health needs, in others we work with people with organic mental health problems under and over the age of 65 who have high level of complex need and have often challenged services.
For anyone needing support or care for mental health concerns, we offer a wide range of personalised services. Clients can be admitted either on an informal basis or detained under the Mental Health Act following an assessment by our team.
In addition to community-based services such as supported living and outreach support, we offer full-time registered care and nursing services, in both nursing and Independent Hospital environments.
Here, person-centred recovery models are supported by a multi-disciplinary teams of highly-qualified professionals, and individuals are encouraged to choose therapeutic pathways that will promote positive mental health and an all-round feeling of well-being.
Wherever possible, social and community integration is promoted - our teams work pro-actively, supporting access to local leisure and recreation facilities, local or regional events and further education courses
Developing move on and supported housing environments with the back up support of the local mental health team and our hospital team is another way that we have developed our mental health expertise to support people.
