Woodhorn Park is a purpose-built home for frail older people and for people living with dementia. It is located in the very heart of the town centre of Ashington with good public transport links and plenty of local amenities on its doorstep.
Care at Woodhorn Park is based on personalised care planning, drawn up with the individual concerned and their relatives, tailored to their needs and reflecting their choice of lifestyle.
On their most recent inspection visit the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator for the care sector in England noted (CQC's copyright, recording a visit in July 2013): ‘the staff went about their duties in a calm and unhurried manner,’ and a relative saying, “the place is very good, the staff are obliging… they pick up on when a doctor is needed or an optician or a chiropodist, there are trips out and things to do, we are delighted with the care Mum gets.’
The ideal way to judge what we have to offer is to visit us to see for yourself.
