What our families say on carehome.co.uk

"My mom, who has dementia, received respite care after a fall where she was initially hospitalized, then transferred to Magnolia Court. At that time I received daily updates, videos and pictures of Mom's daily activities from staff. Mom attended daily social events, some in costume. Mom is happy and smiling in the pictures. My mom, who for decades had volunteered in the community teaching Tai Chi, while a patient at Magnolia, was able to still teach Tai Chi. The care at Magnolia is individualized for each patient. Her care during her stay was exceptional. I have visited Magnolia on several occasions, As a nurse I have witnessed exceptional caring acts by staff. The care home is kept very clean, the food excellent, the decor very lovely, and the entertainment and variety brilliant. Mom has also been in receipt of wonderful community outreach, with the staff inviting Mom to entertainment events at Magnolia. Thank you to all managers and staff for providing exceptional care."

"My mother move to Barchester Magnolia Court Care Home from another care home. From the first day my mother was at Barchester she has had the very best care possible. My mother is a difficult person and is suffering from many problems but all the time the carers have been superb with so many of the staff showing extreme patience and good will to a rather difficult person. Thank you so much, Barchester for your care."

"My experience with Magnolia Court has been a wonderful experience. I often come and see my mother. The staff are second to none and my mother could not be in better hands. All the staff are very polite and friendly and I think generally a fantastic care home."

"We have been very grateful for the excellent care that my mother has received for the last three years. The staff have all been very professional, caring and have communicated very well with us throughout."

"All the ratings I've given are satisfactory to good but if you had an option for communication it would be very poor. Nobody ever rings or emails me to give me updates on my mother, who is 96, has Parkinson's, is psychotic and deaf. As her behaviour gets worse, I would have thought I would be told what medicine/treatment the doctor has suggested. When I go and ask, generally, I feel that I am almost a nuisance. I am the only person who visits my mother and so I rely on the care home for communication."

"The manager was excellent, he couldn't have been more helpful. We found the home cheerful and the facilities are excellent. It would have helped us enormously if the daily routines on the floor had been more fully explained. I often found myself running around like a headless chicken trying to find assistance. The staff on the whole were pretty good. The 2 people who ran the 'activities' were a joy. The food was ok but could have been more imaginative at times. My husband was vegetarian and had very little appetite so perhaps we didn't appreciate the full benefit of the daily choices. I found one had to practice being a bit more assertive than I was happy with to get things done. But the staff worked hard and were sometimes in short supply which made things more difficult. One of the nurses, provided much comfort to me when I needed it. My husband passed away in mid-June and everybody at Magnolia was supportive and gave 100% to the family at a very difficult time."

"Magnolia is a great place and the staff, led by the manager, are the best one can hope for. Mother-in-law was very well looked after in the week she was there. This was her second visit and will be back for more. Facilities are great, services are great, and nothing is a problem. The team are truly providing peace of mind (to us) as we are allowed to take our break once in a while without any worry. Thank you we will see you again."

"Despite our nervousness at having our father stay in a respite home for the very first time, we were more than pleasantly surprised at how much he loved it there. The manager who runs the home is a fantastic leader and his energy and happy nature resounded throughout the home. Frankly, it was like a five-star hotel - beautifully decorated and clean with friendly staff and happy residents. With activities every day, Dad was more engaged than he has been in a long time (a new life appeared in him during his stay). We are incredibly grateful to the manager and his team for doing such a fantastic job and we are now super happy that if we need to go away again this is the place that Dad will look forward to coming back to!"

"I am a friend and next of kin of one of the residents at Magnolia Court Care Home, who, very sadly, died recently. She entered the home after a long period of being bed bound at home, having had several admissions to hospital and experiencing deteriorating health generally. I was worried about her being admitted as I knew she didn’t want to go to a home but was immediately reassured on visiting by the warm atmosphere, the cheerful and bright rooms and the feeling of gentle calm. My friend was made really welcome there and clearly no longer felt lonely. I’d like to thank the friendly and communicative manager for being so kind to my friend in her last months."

"Mum arrived from the hospital after a fall and corrective surgery very disoriented. I found the staff at Magnolia Court Care Home very caring and helpful. "This was my second experience of having a friend in Magnolia Court. It is, in my opinion, well managed with caring staff and very pleasant rooms. Unfortunately, this was not the right place for my friend as she felt cut off from her life. As she would only agree to a short stay, she never really took advantage of the facilities, wouldn't mix and felt very isolated. She felt that the home was more suitable for people in end-of-life care or with dementia rather than for rehabilitation following a hospital stay. Sadly it was not a successful stay."

"Mum moved to Magnolia during the pandemic in October 2020. She was immediately welcomed and given a lovely corner room overlooking the garden and allotments to the rear of the home. The staff were truly amazing and Mum formed good relations with them. The level of catering and activities was excellent and she was extremely comfortable throughout her stay. She passed away just before her 92nd birthday and I am extremely grateful that her life ended on such a positive note. Many thanks to all the staff for their friendliness, compassion and caring. I recommend Magnolia very highly."

"We searched long and hard to find a good care home for my husband. Magnolia Court was by far the best option. It is clean, light, friendly and warm, the staff are courteous and treat the residents with respect, and it has a family atmosphere. They make great efforts to ensure that the residents are stimulated and entertained. They keep me involved with health decisions and ensure that he has all the relevant injections. My husband thinks that he is in a five-star hotel."

"I only have positive things to say about Magnolia Court. First of all, the staff were all friendly and lovely. They are helpful and patient with the elderly. Second, the place is clean and spacious. Lots of outdoor lighting. The food is fresh and varies. It feels like a 5-star hotel. Everyone is also polite and helpful. They treat my aunty with respect and dignity. She is happy here as she says only good things about the place and she is smiling. I am grateful for her to be here. It is like a hotel but better."

"My mother went into this Care Home just for respite. She had dementia, just coming near the middle stages so she was still living a life. After going into this care home she was badly treated as the staff was not fully trained in how to deal with dementia patients. Did not have the right approach towards my mother. They never gave her a shower, only a quick change in bed. Many times I would find my mother with no clothing on her, waist down. Her skin was in good condition but after going there her skin got in a bad state. She ended up with bad injuries on both her heels. Sore on inside of both knees as she was kept in bed most of the time and not being helped to sit on the chair. I also found a big bruise on her stomach. She was totally isolated and left on the bed most of the time. Due to no help to eat and drink my mother lost a lot of weight and became very dehydrated, ended up in the hospital. I can't write everything in detail, no room."

"My mother was a resident at Barchester Magnolia Court Care Home from November 2013 until her death in April 2022. Sadly she was seriously affected by dementia and by arthritis leading to her being effectively bedridden for her final eighteen months or so. During her entire stay at Magnolia Court Care Home my mother was treated with the utmost care and kindness with due regard always being paid to her increasingly fragile condition. The standard of nursing care was extremely high as was that of the caring staff and despite my mother having always been opposed to moving to a home she quickly began to appreciate the high quality of the care available to her. The home itself is a purpose built building and is finished to a good standard with easy access. It is set in attractive grounds with a well tended garden area available when weather permits. General facilities such as lounges and dining room are to a high standard as are the activities laid on for residents. Happy to recommend the home to others without reservation."

"We used the Magnolia Court Care Home for respite care for my mum; she stayed for two weeks. I was concerned about putting mum into respite care as I had never done this before. With my hand on my heart, I can say that it was marvellous! The manager and his team of carers look after Mum so well that it put my mind at ease. Several family members went to visit Mum without booking and told me that Mum was always clean and dressed and well-fed; they were very happy with Magnolia Court. The staff are kind, friendly and very helpful and interacted with the residents; they encouraged Mum to take part in the activities, and they made my mum feel welcome and like part of the family. I will definitely use Magnolia Court for respite care again and can recommend them for this service. Well done, Magnolia Court!"

"My father moved into Magnolia Court in February. I feel safe, and secure that he is in good hands! Even my first online enquiry with the Manager was impressive, he was patient, understanding and helpful in all of my questions... myself feeling utterly overwhelmed about finding a suitable home. He helped make the entire process easier with his continued calm and caring persona, and attitude. His contact with me throughout continues to be such a relief as I live in Athens, Greece therefore not able to be more present physically. The activity organiser is wonderful! Her positive, caring, open personality is exactly what my father and the residents need! She knows how to get the residents smiling, laughing and feeling included and seen, which is just great! She listened to my pointers about my father's love of Sushi and took him out to eat a Sushi lunch at a local restaurant! Also that he was once a musician and they organised students to come in and play for him! Wonderful!"

"Fantastic quality of service: staff are really helpful and friendly. I cannot recommend their professionalism and human touch more. I am 100% satisfied that my mother is in the best hands and is comfortable. The care home is clean, and the recent decoration upgrade was well worth it: it looks friendly, homely and stylish. My mother always comments on that. The kitchen produces excellent food in just the right quantities and frequency. I don't want to single out individuals as you are a team, but individuals will know when I thank them for their excellence. Thank you all!"

"My father came to Barchester Magnolia Court Care Home after a traumatic two months of hospitals and home-living following an accident. In pain and very unsettled both physically and emotionally, the family's concern was his safety. I personally checked three care homes before selecting Magnolia and was warmly met by one of their nurses. My many questions were answered during the visit and I was immediately reassured he would be safe and well looked after. I liked the atmosphere and decor too. My reassurance was correct. Over the months our father was there, the staff could not have done more for him at every level from the carers to the nurses from the admin staff right up to management. A special thanks to the general manager, for coordinating sometimes complicated situations and for supporting our family at this point of crisis. His deputy, was also very helpful as was the administrator and staff. Many thanks for all your work!!"

"The accommodation and facilities are of a high standard. There has been a recent major redecoration. I have found the staff to be caring and aware of the needs of my Aunt which she finds difficult to express because of advanced dementia. During the summer and autumn months, I have been able to borrow a wheelchair to take my aunt to a nearby park which she has enjoyed. I have also been able to stay for lunch and encourage my aunt to eat as she can be reluctant to do so. Previous to her residence at Magnolia Court, I was always worried about my aunt's welfare firstly when she was living at home with carers coming and then at a previous Care Home when we had to remove her because she would not settle down. There have been no such worries at Magnolia Court because I know she is being well looked after and the security is of a high standard. The management keeps me well informed of what is going on and I feel that any concerns I have will be listened to and appropriate action is taken."

"My father spent 3 months at Magnolia Court care home. He was very happy there. The staff and management were FANTASTIC. My father passed away last week. I cannot thank everyone for their help and support during dads time here. He was treated with such dignity and respect. It is more like a happy family than a care home. Thank you all so much for everything you have done for dad and for us as a family x"

"I am extremely happy with the level of care my mother is receiving and all the staff are wonderful and caring. They are worth their weights in gold. I also feel that all the staff should be recognised and truly rewarded. Must finally add that the manager at the care home and all his managerial team are doing a wonderful job and always make me feel welcome. Please can you pass these comments of mine to all the wonderful people at Magnolia Court Care Home. Kind regards."

"I have known this care home since December 2020 and can confirm and admit, that the service I have received is the best. All issues or questions are sorted in the nick of an eye. Overall, from admission till now, everything is smooth. We do agree that Covid 19 disrupted the service but we were made aware each and every week and month about the test to my friend who lives here."

"My mother had to change care home during the pandemic and all the staff at Magnolia Court welcomed her and took such care in meeting her advanced dementia needs. The timing of her move created tremendous stress on Mum, the family and the staff, but without missing a beat they went over and above to help her feel safe. No matter when I ring, any of the staff and the Manager will give me updates on how Mum has settled. The manager runs a professional, warm, caring and reassuring care home. He cares and has time for residents and their family members alike."

"My mum was diagnosed with dementia and she has Type 1 diabetes. She was taken to hospital and the assessment there confirmed that she needed 24-hour care. This took us by surprise as we were not prepared with a choice of a care home. Magnolia Court in Hamstead was recommended and when we visited, we immediately decided that this was the right place for her. The first thing we noticed was the cleanliness and the friendliness of all staff. It felt like home. Mum was accepted in Magnolia Court care home and she has been there for 3 month now. She has settled well, thanks to the care and support of all the staff there. They showed her exceptional care medically and psychologically. They took extra care to understand her wants and needs and I am very grateful to everyone there from the manager to the daily house keepers. The rooms are clean, tidy and welcoming. The food is tasty and there are activities for everyone to be kept active and stimulated. A big Thank you!"

"My mum is a resident at Magnolia. The staff are amazing, caring and responsive. The manager is very responsive to quickly answer my questions. The staff sends me daily updates and photos. Through the photos and videos, I am able to see my Mum participating in the many activities from exercise, playing scrabble, exercising, celebrating Chinese New Year, Shrove Tuesday, radio day and more. I also get to connect with my mum via facetime and phone calls. I know Mum is safe and the staff treat her like family. Mealtime looks fun and Mum loves the food. Mum is very happy at Magnolia."

"My husband has behavioural variant frontotemporal dementia, which is a challenging condition. My excellent GP recommended Magnolia Court to me when I was no longer able to manage at home; my husband was admitted in November 2020 and he very soon settled in. I have been extremely impressed by the quality of care which he is receiving. I am grateful for WhatsApp photos and videos giving me a glimpse "behind the scenes" and even in this time of Covid, the activities coordinators are providing a variety of activities to entertain the residents. I appreciate being able to visit in a special Visiting Suite and each time my husband looks well cared for and calm. This is an enormous relief to me and I am so grateful to the staff who are looking after him with such loving care. I also appreciate the excellent manager and his assistant who go out of their way to be sure that relatives are always informed and who run monthly relatives zoom meetings. It is a wonderful place!"

"It's difficult to give a comprehensive review as my aunt was admitted during COVID lockdown. We were allowed into Magnolia Court for a pre-visit and then again for the first 2 days of admission to allow my aunt to settle. The environment is lovely; homely, clean, beautifully furnished and decorated. We joined my aunt for her 1st meal; it looked delicious and my aunt really enjoyed it. Thereafter, only half-hour garden visits which is understandable but difficult on weekdays when working 9-5, as last visits are up to 4:40pm. However, the garden is a little oasis - peaceful and very well maintained. Speaking with other residents/visitors who were there pre-COVID, it sounds like the activities, events and outings were well-organised and well-received, and I regret that my aunt could not experience these. All of the staff we met throughout were friendly and showed great kindness and empathy, not only towards my aunt, but to us especially when she passed away and we felt well-supported."

"My sister was pushed out of a rehab hospital at the beginning of the coronavirus crisis. We had hoped she could go direct to Magnolia Court but, sadly, the expected vacancy did not materialise. The manager immediately arranged an introduction to another care home where she spent three months under the lockdown regime. With the easing of lockdown and the possibility of visits, we wished to arrange for her transfer to Magnolia Court which is closer to her friends and family. Again, the manager of Magnolia Court sorted us out and arranged the transfer in a most professional manner. He and his staff have been at all times helpful, resourceful and co-operative. I believe my sister is now as happy as possible, save that she would rather be in her own home. With this in mind, she is now receiving physiotherapy (which was not possible during the lockdown period)."

"My sister has MS and has been at Magnolia for eight months. All the caring staff have been like a family to her, especially during these difficult times with Covid-19. "My family were recommended to Magnolia Court Care Home by several different friends. We were very impressed by the management and staff when we visited the home to view it. A place was found for my husband just a week before the lockdown by the government but the manager and staff helped to make my husband’s transfer to the home as smooth as possible in spite of the very difficult timing. He was later moved to the dementia floor where again staff and carers showed themselves to be caring, compassionate, professional and immensely kind in helping him to settle down and get used to his new environment. There have been great efforts by carers for our family to keep in contact with our resident loved one during the lockdown when we have been unable to visit and that has been very appreciated by us all. The marvellous cooking and warm hospitality to visitors and residents alike is impressive."

"Magnolia Court is a really well run and clean, well-designed home for older residents with an amazing staff of carers, nurses and support staff. Our mother is 94 and has Alzheimer's disease. She has been a resident here for over five years and we have always felt she was cared for and loved by the team on her floor. Before she was confined to bed full time, she enjoyed their varied daily activities such as music, dancing, crafts and other entertainments as well as trips to the pretty garden. They also have an excellent kitchen with great catering providing a varied, high-quality menu with lots of choice. The little touches such as homemade cakes every day, make all the difference to residents who might be missing their own homes and cooking for themselves. I would recommend it to friends who might be looking for a care home for elderly or disabled relatives."

"Throughout four good years of my elderly mother’s final residence at Magnolia Court Care Home (Barchester) staff and employees showed an unusual degree of commitment to residents and were highly personable, warm, thoughtful. We formed valuable and enduring relationships with managerial, nursing, caring and other staff. The Home was well maintained, clean, orderly. Care plans are reviewed periodically. Staff were always accommodating and responsive. During the pandemic and widespread lock-down that followed, the isolation of residents, cut-off from contact with families proved a very great hardship. The home managed this transition well and compassionately. Key staff were retained through most of the crisis. I applaud the courage, determination and hard work of staff who maintained care routines and patient’s comfort and dignity throughout the crisis. Magnolia will be remembered by us as a vibrant, buzzing community of good people with a genuine commitment and gift for caring."

"My sister was admitted as a temporary/respite resident following several months in hospital settings following serious falls resulting in fractures that left her virtually immobile and suffering from ongoing health problems. To compound the problems, her admission came shortly after the COVID 19 Lockdown measures were announced, as both the NHS and Care Sector came under unprecedented pressure. In spite of the challenges, the team at Magnolia were unfailingly helpful in arranging her admission, managing the required isolation and providing care and support during her stay. Staff directly involved in her care were very helpful in overcoming the difficulties in communication created by the Lockdown and sympathetic to my sister and to myself and others trying to maintain contact with her. The management team were helpful in relation to all medical and nursing matters and particularly so in arranging her final transfer to a long-term place in another nursing home in spite of COVID 19 problems."

"My husband was well cared for. He was able to relate to the staff even as his condition worsened over time. I felt they were loving, respectful, and capable. The music therapy was most beneficial to my musical husband as were the activities as far as he was still able to participate. The feeling of always having company and the generous facilities for family visits made me feel that indeed he was better off in Magnolia than as previously, at home. Huge gratefulness to the staff - all of them, including kitchen staff, cleaners, and reception. The garden was a joy to all, resident's families, and visitors."

"This home is very well run by the manager and her staff, who maintain a friendly but professional atmosphere. They are very welcoming to visitors and helpful when the needs of residents require discussing. The home has been built some years ago, so that the rooms are rather small and lack ensuite showers. However, major modernisation would involve loss od a number of rooms and probably make the home not viable economically. The staff manage this limitation very well."

"My mother has been a resident at Magnolia Court for almost two years with advanced stage dementia with Lewy Bodies. She requires full care. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Even though my mother cannot communicate and is immobile, she is treated with warmth, dignity and affection, gentleness and consideration for her every possible need. Returning from 5 days in hospital with a chest infection was like coming home; my mother was welcomed and she settled back into her own bed with relief. I, myself, look forward to visiting and spending time - the friendly, inviting atmosphere and high level of competency give absolute confidence in the care residents receive. The gardens are beautiful, the food superb, residents' own rooms and the dining room and lounges are elegant. We feel incredibly lucky that mum has had her end of life in contentment and love at Magnolia Court."

The staff are extremely professional in their care of all residents. The atmosphere is pleasant and all residents are treated with patience, respect and dignity from everyone on staff from nurses, aids, meal service, cleaning to administrative staff. What an amazing place!"

"From my first visit to Magnolia Court Care Home, I found the care home itself, spotless and well kept. the atmosphere and staff (all members) were warm friendly and very caring. There was constant activities, meetings and events that included family as well as relatives. Information was up to date and displayed throughout the building. It is a pleasure to visit my Mother here as I am confident she is receiving the best of treatment. Staff keep us updated and involved in all matters."

"Magnolia is a very friendly, clean and buzzing with life nursing home. Residents and staff are one big family. There is compassion, understanding and help. Especially in the critical situations when residents and their families need to be comforted when the grief and distress need to be eased. Personally, I am grateful for the attention and help my husband and myself experienced."

"My aunt-in-law was in Magnolia Court (Barchester Care Home) for nearly six years until she passed away peacefully aged 91. Throughout her stay we had no significant complaints: she was well cared for and comfortable, and the staff were always kind and gentle to her. It is a pleasant care home with high standards and I thoroughly recommend it."

"I fell just before Christmas 2017 and fractured my left humerus, just below the shoulder. Over Christmas, my two daughters looked after me (I live alone) but I decided to go into care and let them be free of worry. This home is delightful - the staff is a real league of nations but they work together very harmoniously and nothing is too much trouble. As to cost, it is dearer than other homes in the neighbourhood but in my opinion, it is well worth the extra expense."

"Magnolia Court is an extraordinary care home. It is, in my experience, difficult to manage the enormous pressures of caring for the elderly, frail and vulnerable members of our society. Our aunt has been looked after with an extraordinary degree of professionalism, dedication and real care. It is not just one person who makes the difference but the way everyone seems to work as a team. My aunt's dignity and humanity are respected and acknowledged and every attention is given to the details of her care by the wonderful staff and management of this excellent care home. Fantastic."

"Over 30 years ago I was befriended by my then neighbour. As the years passed I moved but she remained in the same area. As she had no family I became her next of kin and had to eventually move her to a home. After looking around I found Magnolia court. The care was second to none and the staff are caring and compassionate. She remained there very happily until she passed away recently."

"My mother stayed for over 1 month in short-term respite care and her stay was very comfortable. She was apprehensive but she was well supported from the start and the manager met personally with me to review options and explain the process, which put my mind at rest. The food was to our surprise very good and the rooms were well appointed. The downstairs sitting room area is lovely for a chat and the staff were always accommodating. I highly recommend Magnolia Court."

"I would like to say I am a long time friend of a resident for over four years. I always find she is well fed and kept very clean too. I would notice if it was not as I still do volunteering with elderly folk in the Hospital. She appears content with her surroundings and the staff say she is sweet, I think so too. In my opinion, she is given great care in all areas of her being here."

"The majority of staff are kind and thoughtful but the turnover is alarming, meaning that at times, the provision is not adequate and the residents and remainings staff are therefore not fully supported. "Originally we intended to place to my wife in another home in Camden but they judged wrongly in my view that my wife was too ill for them to take on. Magnolia Court Care Home evidently has greater experience in dealing with patients with domestic. The level of care they have provided in the last two months has exceeded our expectation. The room is compact but light and airy. The facilities at Magnolia Court are fine and the food is excellent. The staff are a delight and provide a very high level of care. No complaints at all and Magnolia Court has allayed all the fears we had before committing my wife to an environment outside home."

"My mother, in late stage Lewy Body Dementia, was transferred to Magnolia Court, NW2 after a difficult 6 month period of home care. Given my Mother's rapid decline and loss of cognitive and physical function, the move was inevitable. Even so, as all families find, the final decision to move a loved one is heart-wrenching. The sense of relief and gratitude I feel since my Mother's move to Magnolia Court has replaced any doubts. My Mother is treated with kindness, dignity and patience. Her individual medical, psychological and social needs are carefully considered and provided for. The staff are gentle, attentive, professional and respectful. In a short time, as a result of the outstanding round the clock care, consistency, regular excellent meals- healthy, appetising, fresh, well cooked and appropriate to resident's needs, careful personal care and hairdressing. My Mother shows improvements; she is calm, settled and content."

"Magnolia Court is a quite outstanding care home. My husband has dementia and has been a resident in Magnolia Court for nearly six years - so has been through a large number of 'phases', from hyperactivity to his present state of complete immobility and inability to communicate with the outside world. At every stage, the staff at Magnolia Court have treated him with care, respect and compassion - and as I visit every day, I have watched them treat the other residents with exactly the same combination of warmth and understanding. Many institutions say in their mission statement that they respect and honour the humanity of their residents - but Magnolia Court actually puts this into practice, day in and day out, from top to bottom. This has been consistent through staff changes, management changes and refurbishment of the building. I don't know how they do it - but it has made what could have been a deeply painful experience into a part of life's rich pattern. Ten out of ten!"

As you know, I visited several homes over the latter part of last week and felt that Magnolia Court was the one which would suit my father best, for various reasons - it has a lovely feel to it, it has a good location, all the staff were lovely and you provide two proper cooked meals a day - and that is so important (and you remember my dad from 1978!).

"Mother moved to North London in December 2015, at the age of 94. For much of this time, she has been a resident of Magnolia Court, a remarkable community set in North London. From the outset, she was made to feel welcome and well liked. I cannot sufficiently praise the care, support and personal attention she has received from the team of dedicated professionals. The dignity and comfort of the residents are placed at the heart of the community. Its ethos radiates outward to affect all members — an inspired leadership team, carers and activities, catering and administrative staff and resident's families. The atmosphere is at once calm, informal and unhurried, with a decidedly ‘can do’ feel. In recent months, Magnolia Court has successfully completed a refurbishment cycle, giving carers, residents and their families — a relaxing backdrop to our lives and supporting roles. My appreciation for the work of his community is boundless. I have no hesitation in recommending it to others."

"I am writing to thank all the staff and management of Magnolia Court on behalf of my mother. We needed a home for my mother to stay in and be looked after during the period while her home was redecorated and renovated. The staff were excellent, loving and care. Day to day care and the attention to her needs were excellent. Whenever I visited my mother, I noticed how much she enjoyed her stay at the home. The management was very accommodating and flexible to our needs and specific requirements. We would definitely use the home again if needed."

Overall, as a Caring Community of Staff, you really prioritise ensuring that the residents’ do experience a family atmosphere which is conducive to their well-being and we believe they feel very safe and stable with the healthy routine at Magnolia. All this is very important to us as a family and we really appreciate all the care and love being lavished on my mother and all the residents – the kind of atmosphere at Magnolia is rare and hard to find and not to be taken for granted. "I am writing on behalf of my Aunt to very highly commend the Activities Team. This culminated in the “multi-birthday” party for all the residents with birthdays in November. Not only was there attention to detail in the planning but the care & support that they showed (and always do) to each resident (& family member) to make EVERYONE feel special & included is remarkable. Nothing is too much trouble & they seem to be able to unite the whole team (including nurses/carers; kitchen team and reception) to all contribute (including to the dancing and celebrating!) which is a great attribute for them to have and makes us feel very special, like a big family. I believe this is important as it is the residents’ home & this family/homely atmosphere created gives a boost to the residents’ morale & keeps their spirits high. We really appreciate the hard work that is put into the breadth & variety of the entertainments that they arrange & recommend them highly."
