Henford House is a nursing home providing care for older people with physical and sensory disabilities, for frail older people and for people with palliative care needs. It is a former family home dating back to the late nineteenth century, located in Warminster, with easy access to beautiful grounds and the surrounding countryside.
Care is based on well-researched and regularly reviewed care plans written after discussions with the individuals supported and their families. Privacy, independence and dignity are the basis of the home’s care and support, with hospitality, good food and a variety of activities also emphasised.
In Henford House’s most recent inspection report the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulatory body for the care sector in England, noted (CQC's copyright, reporting on a visit in June 2012): ‘We saw people’s diversity, values and human rights were respected. Staff engaged with people in a positive, friendly and respectful way.’ They recorded a resident remarking ‘I feel at home in this room. The staff are very helpful.’ A visitor told them they were very happy with the care and frequent treatment offered to their relative and described the care as ‘spot on.’ Another relative said staff are ‘pleasant, courteous and helpful. They are very good with the patients… [and] do a huge amount to provide activities.’
Seeing is believing, however! Why not call in to see for yourself? Alternatively, please feel free to ring us at any time – we will be happy to discuss how we might be able to help.
