Cubbington Mill is a purpose-built care home set in beautiful landscape gardens in Cubbington, close to the pretty town of Royal Leamington Spa.
We provide first class 24-hour nursing care for older people who need care in a welcoming and friendly environment, as well as respite care and short breaks. Our team of highly qualified and attentive staff focus on the individual needs of our residents with a tailored care plan for each individual based on need, likes, dislikes and past history.
Our pride in our work is visible in our award-winning menu, our hospitality and organised activities for our residents. Our Activity Co-ordinators work with Help the Aged as well as all of our residents to plan a complete range of activities which includes trips, entertainment, cooking and gardening.
The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator for the care sector in England. Over their last two visits to Cubbington Mill they noted (CQC's copyright, reporting on visits in May and September 2013): ‘We found that care plans were person centred and reflected people’s individual needs. We saw the members of staff supported people as detailed within their care plans. We observed that staff were compassionate and caring when supporting people.’
They noted residents saying, ‘They are very respectful to me; I can be as independent as I want to be,’ ‘They let me change the room as I wanted to have it. I have some of our furniture in the room,’ ‘The handyman is going to put some new curtain rails up and I am going to hang the curtains from my flat,’ and ‘My care needs are certainly met; the care is excellent, I give it full marks.’
Relatives said: ‘It is very good here; they keep me up to date and they always keep me informed. I feel involved with X’s care,’ and ‘We are filled in with lots of information to do with Y’s care. We helped fill in the care plan together.’
Of course there’s always room for improvement. More importantly, what suits one individual doesn’t necessarily suit another. The best way to get to know a home is to call in.
Why not come and visit find out for yourself! You will see we have always got the kettle on.
