The Barchester group

Throughout Barchester there is a true passion to deliver the best for our residents. This is not only reflected in our Vision, Mission and Values but through the actions of our staff on a daily basis.

Barchester is unique in its structure as we provide the staff within our homes additional support in a number of specialist areas. The General Manager in each home has access to their local specialist teams which include:

  • Learning & Development
  • Health & Safety
  • Information Technology

Barchester has also created its own in-house Academy of Excellence to train and develop staff to ensure that the quality of care provided throughout the group is second to none.

The Academy provides career development for members of staff in all disciplines through mentoring, coaching and courses such as NVQ programmes, management and communications workshops in addition to specific medical and nursing programmes.

As a company we have achieved several industry awards of which we are very proud. However, we were particularly delighted to be voted one of the best companies in the UK to work for by our own staff.
