Prestbury Beaumont resident celebrates 100th birthday

Prestbury Golf Club's oldest member has returned to the course to celebrate her 100th birthday with the help of Barchester Healthcare's Prestbury Beaumont Care Community.

Alice Ramage, a great-grandmother of eight, is not one to bow out of more crazy and interesting experiences in life, with the cruise fan visiting nearly every country in the world, it was revealed in the Macclesfield Express.

Receiving 134 cards for her century effort, Prestbury Beaumont took the party back to another level and, on September 8th, held celebrations with deputy mayor of Cheshire East, Councillor Gordon Baxendale.

Alice's granddaughter Anne Russell, who lives nearby, said her mum enjoyed a fantastic day with friends, family and carers at the get-together at Mottram Hall.

She said to the Macclesfield Express about the celebrations: "She really has had an eventful life and enjoyed every moment of it. Mum is really pleased she had a day to remember."

Prestbury Beaumont Care Community is one of the flagship homes of Barchester Healthcare, boasting accommodation from apartments to bungalows and receiving the top Excellent rating from the Care Quality Commission.
