Care home to provide financial guidance for Cumbrian residents
On Thursday July 2nd at 19:00 BST, Lanercost House Care Home will open its doors to everyone in the area hoping to learn about such things as the lasting powers of attorney, state and self funding of care as well as protecting capital, assets and succession.
Stuart Cartwright of Care Asset Management and Beverley Macauley of Barchester Healthcare will be on hand to give guest speeches and take questions from the audience.
Lanercost House's general manager Alison Farran explained that finding the appropriate long-term care for a family member or friend is something which needs both careful research and planning, particularly in terms of financing the move.
She continued: "The current economic climate has left people unsure of how they will be able to fund care for family members, so Barchester has arranged this event to help the local community with guidance from experts in the field."
Ms Farran added that due to the company's extensive knowledge and experience in the industry, it did not have to think twice about financing this provision for those hoping to gain unbiased information regarding the future of their loved ones.
Lanercost House specialises in dementia care and received a 'Good' rating from the Care Quality Commission, with the home situated on the outskirts of Carlisle and allowing for resident trips to the Scottish Borders and the Lake District.
