Pat a Dog
We have a dog called Spike who visits us every fortnight for our residents to pet and give treats to. His owner Kate also invites us to her Manor House for lunch a few times a year and to take a look around her gardens at the different seasonal flowers and plants that she grows.
Seasonal Events
As a home we celebrate the different types of 'celebratory days' throughout the year. Resident's friends and family are invited to attend our events, to take part and/or support the home and charities we help. We also invite local the nursery over for some of our events too!
Judy Waddington - Administrator
Judy is at the hub of the business side of things for Mount Vale. Judy has helped so many of our relatives navigate their way through the maze that is care fees funding, making a daunting process co much easier.
Liz Corser - Unit Manager, Memory Lane
Liz is passionate about ensuring that the care she and her team deliver is person-centred at all times and encourages the ladies and gents who live with us to feel busy, useful and occupied. Our Memory Lane is always a hive of activity.
Lisa Harrison - Activity Coordinator
Lisa Harrison is pictured here with one of our residents Phyllis Henderson. Lisa joined us quite recently as activity co-ordinator but has worked at Mount Vale for a number of years as a carer! She has been a breath of fresh air to all the ladies and gents and always has things on the go for them. From baking to giant jenga, The Wii to just a read of the paper - it's always just right! The ladies and gents love her!
William Stevenson - Head Chef
We all love nutritious and tasty home cooked food and you can certainly be sure of that at Mount Vale. William our Head Chef is a truly wonderful chef and the meals he creates for the residents really are all so flavoursome and tasty! He's also rather nifty at baking too! You should taste some of the home cooked cookies we have at tea time!
Sue Sangster - Head Housekeeper
Our Housekeeping team headed up by Sue Sangster really are a great bunch to be around. Not only do they keep all the rooms spic and span - they have such lovely friendships with all the lovely ladies and gents that live with us it really is touching. It makes take them a little longer to clean the rooms - but there's nothing better than a good gossip while you clean!
