Baylis Place

Your home, your choices and support
Baylis Place provides the environment in which to support people with learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs. We support people to enable them to lead a positive and fulfilling life to achieve personal goals and ambitions.
We have a strong community integration focus and promote access to social, health, education, and employment opportunities; supported by our links with community initiatives, local schools and colleges.
Everyone is different, so we work with people in different ways. Individualised support is at the heart of what we do. We help to identify specific needs and wishes, and offer a range of accommodation and support options that suit individual lifestyles and needs.
Personalised support packages are designed to be flexible, adapting to changing needs and progression through each individual's rehabilitation pathway. We support people to make choices and decisions through joint support planning.
Baylis Place is located in Kingston-upon-Hull, near to a small village and has access to all local amenities.

Working in Partnership with the Local Community
For the younger people living with us in can be difficult for them to gain access to external placements for vocational qualifications to further their learning. Barchester Healthcare has provided the opportunity and support to our own in-house vocational qualifications through our Learning and Development Team. This allows Barchester to tailor the program for the younger person who lives with us, which includes generating interest and confidence. David Dean who lives with us at Baylis House has an interest in transport and safety. David has taken up the opportunity to engage in this interest and is undertaking a project in conjunction with local business JC Services owned by John Connell MD a prominent local businessman and sponsor of rugby team Hull HR. JC Services control 42 vans, he is currently reviewing the safety and vehicle maintenance programmes, for both JC and the Barchester Homes in the Hull area.
