Sherry Afternoons

Manager elected as local community Governess
Carolyn Farmer the home manager has recently been selected to become a local community governess. This role is a new and exciting opportunity for carolyn to ensure the home becomes an active part of the community, Carolyn feels it is important that we work closely with the local schools as they are the advocates of the future. It is a great way to shape the future in community cohesion by starting joint projects such as gardening clubs and craft sessions and the children visit regularly to put on perforformances for the residents.
International Reggae Day
On the 1st of July, residents at Ottley House took part in an international reggae day where they were able to play along to the music with various different musical instruments that were provided for them.
Trip to Dobbies Garden Centre
Residents enjoyed their visit to 'Dobbies Garden Centre' where they chose and bought seeds for the vegetable patch at Ottley House.
Time to Dance
On the 21st of June, residents danced the Mumba at our world music day, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the music and the chance to brush up on their dance moves.
Carolyn Farmer - General Manager
Carolyn is the manager, a very bubbly friendly person who likes to chat and fosters an open door policy.
Jackie Clegg - Administrator
Responsible for general administration in the home.
Lorraine Pitt - Home Trainer
Lorraine is responsible for all training needs within the home.
Katrina Lynch - Head Chef
Katrina is responsible for supervising meals and special diets.
Maintenance Team
This is our maintenance team! Both are gents who excel at ensuring the home is safe and well presented.
Activities Team
This is our activity staff. They both ensure that where possible residents maintain daily living skills, and have a fun time participating in some of the activities.
Barbara Saunders - Deputy Manager
Barbara is the Deputy Manager and assists in the successful running of the home.
Jenny - Admin Assistant
This is our friendly admin assistant Jenny. She supports Jackie in delivering first class service to both residents and visitors. Jenny is very friendly and likes to chat with everyone.
