Reunion of Dr Barnardo's boys.
Over 60 people turned up including former resident boys, their families and local residents for Dr Barnardo's reunion. There was lots of reminiscing and photo swopping from the 1930 until 1979.
Trip to the Seaside
Residents and Staff enjoyed a trip to the seaside (Llandudno) on the 13 July 2011.
Royal Wedding
Residents celebrated the Royal Wedding with an indoor street party and watched the ceremony on a large screen followed by a buffet and champagne.
Wheatlands 15th Anniversary
Residents, families and staff enjoyed a fabulous party to celebrate Wheatlands Care Home's 15th Anniversary on 13th April. A delicious 3 course meal was enjoyed by all, followed by a champagne toast to the last 15 years of excellent care. Resident Martin Williams celebrated 13 years of living at Wheatlands and staff members Joan Millard and Claire Wilkes celebrated 15 years of working at Wheatlands. The celebration was attended by the Mayor of Much Wenlock. A local harpist provided the musical entertainment. A great time was had by all.
Fran Sharp - General Manager
Fran is the General Manager of Wheatlands. She is responsible for overseeing the care and quality of life of all her residents and all resources including staff and the facilities.
Joan Millard - Administrator
Joan is responsible for administration and all financial aspects related to the running of Wheatlands. The admin team is always on hand with a friendly welcome and offers of assistance.
Caroline Davis - Activities Co-ordinator
Caroline is in charge of all the activities in the home, from in-house entertainment to theme days, craft sessions, quizzes and days out.
Paula George - Head Chef
Paula heads a catering team who ensure a wonderful choice of delicious and wholesome dishes are on offer to all our residents.
Lynda Jackson - Housekeeper
Lynda and her team work hard to ensure that Wheatlands maintains it's high standards in laundry and cleaning.
Martin Moore - Maintenance Man
Responsible for the maintenance of the home.
