We provide first-class nursing care and our team of qualified and dedicated staff focus on the individual needs of residents, offering a programme of person-centred care, tailored to each person, documented in a detailed care plan.
Our purpose built home, which is surrounded by beautiful gardens, is located in a semi rural position on outskirts of Welshpool. We are close to local amenities and within easy reach of Shrewsbury, Oswestry and Newtown, and just a few short miles up the road and you are in the beautiful Welsh countryside.

Cake Baking
Residents and staff at the Lodge recently had a morning baking fairy cakes which they then decorated with white icing and pink sprinkles and ate for afternoon tea.
Harvest Festival
The staff at the Lodge recently organised a Harvest Festival for residents and their families/friends. Reverend Francis conducted the thanksgiving service and the main lounge was very beautifully decorated with colourful pumpkins, autumn leaves and fruit.

Nick Oulton - General Manager
Nick has been the General Manager since The Rhallt opened. He is responsible for the day-to-day running of the home.
Denise Jones - Deputy Manager
Denise is the Deputy Manager and is currently steering the Memory Lane Ship. Denise received a “Highly Commended” Award for Dementia Nurse of the Year at The Wales Care Awards in 2007.
Amanda Pryce - Administrator
This is Amanda our Administrator she is responsible for general administration in the home.
Kate Harrison - Admin Assistant
This is our Admin Assistant Kate. She supports Amanda in delivering a first class administration service to residents and visitors.
Sonia Slaymaker - Home Trainer
Sonia is responsible for the training needs of every member of staff in the Rhallt. Sonia received a “High Commended” Trainer Award in 2010 at the Wales Care Awards.
Sue Taylor - Head Chef
Sue is responsible for creating the delicious and nutritious menus which we serve here at The Lodge.
Kitchen Team
Our team of chefs and kitchen assistants who provide residents with nutritious and appetizing meals every day of the week.
Gerry McNicholas - Maintenance Manager
This is our Gerry our Maintenance Manager always on hand with the tools of his trade to ensure all statutory checks are completed and that the maintenance and decoration of the home are to the highest standard.
Glyn Davies - Gardener
This is “Green Fingered Glyn” who maintains our beautiful gardens come rain or shine. His endless work and dedication saw him receive the Barchester in Bloom Hanging Basket/Container Display in 2007 and he also got through to the semi finals of the “Garden of the Year” this year.
Samantha Harris - Domestic
This is Samantha the Lodge’s newest recruit she is responsible for keeping the Lodge “Spick and Span” at all times.

Gwenfron Jones - Head of Unit
Gwenno, who is fluent Welsh speaking, was promoted to Head of Unit at The Lodge in September and her fresh ideas and hard work are already making a difference.
