Susie Oakley, Village Manager at Richmond Painswick

Susie Oakley - General Manager


Susie is responsible for the overall management of the village, although Richmond Painswick is one of the smaller villages, having the different sides to the business (nursing home, domiciliary care, Wellness Spa, restaurant, property sales) means there is never a dull moment. Susie’s time is spent dealing with issues for residents, potential residents and staff and supporting the individual Heads of Department, as well as helping out where needed. Time also has to be set aside for management reporting, reviewing and keeping on top of the finances and budgets and planning for the future.

Catherine Moore, Activities Coordinator at Richmond Painswick

Catherine Moore - Activities Coordinator


Catherine’s job is to organise and provide a varied programme of activity for Richmond Painswick Village with the help of two part-time Recreational Therapists. On a day-to-day basis this includes speaking to residents, relatives, friends of residents and staff, to ensure full knowledge of the residents likes, dislikes, interests and abilities. She delivers activity sessions within the village and explores the most appropriate methods and resources for meeting activity needs including group events, individual sessions, involving internal and external resources and community based resources.

Beverley is the Wellness Spa manager at Richmond Painswick. The Wellness Spa is open to both residents and members over the age of fifty who want to look after body & soul. They can enjoy state of the art gym equipment, pool, Jacuzzi, sauna & steam room, hairdressing salon, and the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of health and beauty treatments, all in a beautifully designed stress-free environment.

Lea’s job varies from day to day, but primarily she is responsible for introducing potential residents and their families to Richmond Villages. She is usually the first point of contact when an enquiry is made whether this is by telephone, email or perhaps just dropping in and will normally be the one that will arrange visits and show rounds.

Stephanie Warburton – Administration Manager

Stephanie’s role as Administration Manager is very varied. She is responsible for the day to day running of the Reception area and Administration office. On the Reception side this involves ensuring that our Residents get the best possible Customer Service and that we exceed their expectations wherever possible and on the Administration side it includes things such as ensuring that the Administration office runs smoothly and efficiently, making sure that all deadlines are met relating to the accounts and payroll and that all resident and staff queries are answered within an acceptable time frame.

Jo Walters – Head of Care and Care Home Manager


Jo is the Registered Manager for the 24-bedded nursing home at Richmond Painswick and has to adhere to the care standards requirements of the care home thus maintaining the care rating given to us by CQC after our inspection report. Her role includes the supervision of all staff and maintaining their morale, including having regular staff meetings to ensure good healthy working relationships within the home.

Mark is responsible for the day to day running and management of the busy professional standard kitchen which services the two Richmond restaurants, the café and room service delivery. This involves planning and preparing balanced, nutritious menus for residents (including lunch, evening meals and light options) using high quality fresh produce, and also catering for private dining functions and events.

As Maintenance Manager Tony’s role is very varied. The equipment in the building is unusually complex including such things as air control units, ventilation plant rooms, swimming pools and under floor heating systems to name just a few. Tony has an engineering background together with a wide range of building knowledge.
