Royal Wedding Party

Wykeham House held their own wedding - surprising residents and relatives. Residents enjoyed pre-wedding sherry and fun before watching the real wedding on television. We had a special royal wedding feast as follows: deep fried camembert with cranberry sauce followed by Steamed fillets of salmon served with caper dill butter sauce or roasted chicken breast with wild mushroom sauce. Desserts for those who could manage it after their celebratory feast was either battered bananas with maple syrup or poached pears served with a red wine sauce and cream. A good day was had by all.

Easter Competition

Staff, residents and their guests at Wykeham House had pre-Easter celebrations at the home. We'd organised an Easter colouring competition in conjunction with Meath Green Primary School. Seven 'Best of Class' winners attended the home for Easter celebrations where two of the homes residents Bill Spies and Beatrice Purse presented the children with their prizes of Easter eggs. The 1st prize winner Isabelle Ogston, aged 6, was presented with a £25 gift voucher for Toys R Us.
