Grampian

Taking its name from the Grampian Mountains, this region of Scotland is dominated by heather moors and forests, river valleys and fertile farmland.  Home to nearly 550,000 people, alongside stunning landscapes, it is the majestic mountainous skyline that draws so many people to this area, which is home to two of the highest peaks in Britain – the Ben Nevis at 1,344m above sea level and the Ben Macdui at 1,309m.  Bounded to the northwest by the Great Glen Fault and to the southeast by the Highland Boundary Fault, this is a region of Scotland that must be seen to be believed.
