Gorse House Day Centre

Your home, choices and support
Gorse House provides day support for people with autistic spectrum disorders, learning disabilities and associated complex needs.
We support people to enable them to lead a positive and fulfilling life to achieve personal goals and ambitions.
We have a strong community integration focus and promote access to social, health, education, and employment opportunities; supported by our links with community initiatives, local schools and colleges.
Everyone is different, so we work with people in different ways. Individualised support is at the heart of what we do. We help to identify specific needs and wishes, and offer a range of accommodation and support options that suit individual lifestyles and needs.
We encourage people to make choices and take control, through individually designed and personalised support planning, direct decision making and personal development.
Close to all the amenities of Sunderland, our centre is in a quiet, residential location in the historic suburb of Ashbrooke.
