Hawthorns Neurological Rehabilitation Centre

Hawthorns Neurological Rehabilitation Unit
First-class Neuro-Rehabilitation in County Durham
AT HAWTHORNS EVERYONE HAS DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS
We specialise in the recovery and rehabilitation of people living with a traumatic or non-traumatic brain or spinal injury. Therapy programmes are tailored to an individual’s ability and potential. We provide active rehabilitation packages as well as long-term and respite placements.
Our experienced and highly qualified care teams, led by a consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine, deliver person-centred care to ensure individuals remain in control of their lives.
RECOVERY AND REHABILITATION
Our ground floor purpose-built accommodation has been specifically created for adults with complex neurological and physical needs. The goal setting therapy packages are tailored to maximise the individual’s potential for independence within the community.
Our first floor provides specialist support for individuals who require higher dependency nursing and multi-disciplinary team intervention. This includes those who require invasive and non-invasive ventilation, individuals with complex respiratory needs and those who are minimally conscious.
The facilities include a dedicated physiotherapy gym, life skills kitchen and gardens designed for our client’s needs. Individuals are encouraged and supported to be involved in social activities.
Hawthorns Neurological Rehabilitation Unit is an accredited Headway Provider.
