Dignity Project for 2012
Mike Parsons Chief Executive of Barchester Healthcare endorses the Dignity Tree and Poncho which was Queens Court Care Home's Dignity Project for 2012. Naty De La Cruz (Dignity Champion) for the third year encouraged the staff and residents to design a towelling Poncho to maintain residents' dignity when they are going to have a bath or shower. The leaves from the Dignity Tree have been made into a leaflet for residents, relatives and staff to read. 'Maintaining one's dignity at all times is important and sometimes it is the little things that can make a big difference' said Mike Parsons.
