10th Anniversary of Friends of Forest Hill
On Wednesday 4th April we celebrated the 10th Anniversary of our Residents committee. We invited guests, from past and present, who have contributed to the success of Friends of Forest Hill. Chris Hodgson our Administrator, who started it all off, welcomed everyone and thanked them for all their support over the last 10 years. Attending were some of our residents, the present Manager, Norah Sibanda, the past Manager Josie Tuddenham, the Activities staff and volunteers who help at our Summer and Christmas Fayres. One volunteer baked and iced a beautiful Birthday cake and we all sang 'Happy Birthday' to us. We enjoyed a lovely buffet made by our kitchen and toasted The Friends of Forest Hill with a glass of wine and piece of cake. Here's to the next 10 years of continued success.
Christmas Tree and Decorations donated to Forest Hill!
Residents at Forest Hill have a lot to smile about this Christmas! Wilkinson's in Worksop have donated all the Christmas trees, decorations and presents for everyone at Forest Hill. Wilkinsons'charity for this year is Age Uk and as such they decided to spread the love and spirit of giving to several care homes. A team came in and worked hard putting up the Christmas trees and decorations. Norah Sibanda, General Manager said "I am overwhelmed by such thoughtfulness and spirit of togetherness for the local community that Wilkinson's have shown in Worksop. Thank you so much!"
Resident's 100th Birthday!
Celebrations have been in full swing at Forest Hill, as one of its residents hit her centenary in style. Dorothy Stimpson was joined by staff, family, friends and other residents as she received a telegram from the Queen in recognition of her landmark birthday. A champagne reception was held at the Barchester Healthcare home and guests enjoyed a special 100th birthday.
Foret Hill Celebrates The Royal Wedding
We made it into the highly commendable group in The Royal Wedding Cake Competition and we won a Marks and Spencer voucher! The ladies and gentlemen of Forest Hill were treated to a hen night and stag do and we also had a dress rehearsal and reminisced about our weddings. One of our carers had a great time changing into different wedding dresses for the day.
Easter Fun at Forest Hill
We enjoyed an eggs-tensive range of Easter activities, from an Easter Bonnet parade and egg painting to live music and games. Residents also tucked into a delicious Easter meal of roast beef and loads of Easter Eggs for dessert! General Manager, Norah Sibanda said: "As always, we've all been looking forward to Easter. It's such a nice time of the year - the residents love all the colourful Easter eggs and the Easter Bonnet parade. It's really been an eggs-cellent day!"

Chris is responsible for the business administration of the home. She takes pride in delivery of quality service in all aspects of her work. Chris established the 'Friends of Forest Hill' committee that ensures the best interests for people that live at Forest Hill.
Kirsty Illingworth - Home Trainer
Kirsty is responsible for the delivery of training to our staff. She is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in Health and Safety.
Gill Green - Housekeeper
Gill is our dedicated Housekeeper. Gill and her team take pride in ensuring that our home is spotless and tidy at all times.
Steve Goral - Head Chef
Steve is our Head Chef. He is responsible for providing nutritious sumptuous meals for people who live in our home. Steve and his team go out of their way to ensure that the dining experience is next to none!
Sue Bestwick - Activities Coordinator
Sue is our Activities Coordinator, she takes pride in ensuring that people who live at Forest Hill enjoy a full, meaningful and rewarding social life.
Ian Kettleborough - Maintenance Manager
Ian is our Maintenance Manager and he takes pride in all aspects of his work ensuring that home runs smoothly. He always makes time for the people that live at Forest Hill and no job is ever too much trouble!
