A letter of thanks
Hi Matthew Thank you so much for inviting me to Kath's 100th birthday party. It was great fun and also extremely moving. Long may she live on. What a lovely lady. The chap who came to sing was great too and the residents thoroughly enjoyed themselves as I expect they always do. You're all doing an extremely valuable and worthwhile job. I am so impressed with your staff. They are friendly and lively and they treat the residents with enormous respect and kindness. What a happy place to be! They all appreciate your hard work and efforts. I hope that I will be able to continue to visit and take part in some more of your wonderful events. Kind Regards Cheruth Brown. Mrs

Collingtree Resident Celebrates 100th Birthday
On Wednesday 4th April Collingtree Park care home celebrated Kath Berry's 100th birthday. Kath is also Collingtree's longest serving resident having been here 19 years! We celebrated the day by having entertainment all afternoon in the form of a cabaret singer, then after a cream tea, the Major of Northampton visited and Barchester's Jeremy Coleman presented Kath with the Queens telegram and a certificate form the Irish president. We rounded the day off with a champagne buffet. Kath loved every minute and stated the secret for a long life is to 'be happy and relax'.

Time for a Cuppa
Collingtree Park held their own fund raising day in aid of Dementia UK's Time for a Cuppa event. We raised £200.00 through selling raffle tickets and the first prize was a beautiful cake decorated with fresh strawberries that was made by our head chef. We also sold birthday cards and fairy cakes which were sold as a box of six for £2.00, these looked delicious and proved to be very popular! All in all it was a fun and successful day.

Team scrabble comes to Collingtree Park!
Recently purchased Team Scrabble proved a big success with our residents. Residents that have sight and mobility problems really benefit from the size of the board. It involves all residents at all abilities and it is great fun as well!
