Residents enjoy arts and crafts and are supported by relatives, local volunteers and by our staff team.
Birthday Celebrations

Easter Cake
All of the Barchester homes like a little healthy competition and cake baking is no exception. The residents at Chater Lodge have designed and iced the Easter cake for Chater Lodge and now wait with our fingers crossed to see if we have won!!!

Residents recently enjoyed a little bit of magic!
Flower Arranging
The residents requested flower arranging classes as a weekly activity. Julie, activity co-ordinator, has contacted our local florist who was happy to supply the flowers for the home.
Nicky Cahill - General Manager
Nicky has worked in the care industry for 24 years and has managed Chater Lodge since October 2009. Nicky enjoys a swim before she comes to work every morning.
Helen Tilley - Administrator
Helen has worked at Chater Lodge for 20 years. Helen enjoys her holidays abroad and a good game of bingo.
Wendy Kaya - Deputy Manager
Wendy has worked at Chater Lodge for 5 years. Wendy is still young at heart and enjoys going out dancing.
Wendy O'Brien - Head Chef
Wendy has worked at Chater Lodge since October 2009. She spends much of her spare time walking her dog.
Carol Rose - Laundress
Carol has worked at Chater Lodge for 8 years. Carol likes to spend time out of work relaxing with her cross stitch.
Clive Jackson - Maintenance Manager
Clive has worked at Chater Lodge for just over 12 months. Clive enjoys working with computers and is able to build one from scratch.
Julie Sheppard - Head Housekeeper
Julie is enjoying her house keeping role and has been at Chater Lodge since January 2011. Julie can always be found in the home as she constantly whistles while she works!
Julie Broughton – Activity Co-ordinator
Julie has worked in the home since before Christmas. Julie enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dog and looking on the internet for new activity ideas to keep our residents busy!
