Care home marks two decades of service to the local community.
A Barchester care home has celebrated its 20th birthday in style.
The Prestbury Beaumont care home in Cheshire was filled with joy as residents donned their glad-rags and joined their families and staff to mark the momentous occasion, reports the Macclesfield Express.
Macclesfield mayor Thelma Jackson made a speech, as did the
care home's general manager Mark Shockledge, before the celebration began in full swing.
Champagne corks were popping and a huge cake was unveiled, as many friends and families of residents past and present joined in the community atmosphere as the
care home celebrated 20 years of serving the local community.
According to the news provider, Mr Shockledge commented that the residents had been excitedly talking about the event for days before the big day - and many female residents had been to the salon to get their hair done in readiness for the party.
He continued: "To be able to get everyone who had been involved over the past 20 years was brilliant for us."
Meanwhile, Barchester's St Thomas' care home in Hampshire has received lavish praise from Bel Mooney writing in the Daily Mail, who after a recent visit commented that the attitude of staff had been a "revelation".
