Residents show off their artistic side Residents at the Oulton Park Care Centre showed off their artistic side this week after holding an exhibition of their work. The exhibition displayed 30 pieces of art from the residents at the Union Lane centre and proved popular with visitors. One of the many interested guests to the centre was broadcaster Helen McDermott, who was impressed with the high standard of work. Care home manager Sue Hill said: "We've got some fantastic artists here, although some have never really done it before." The exhibition is part of the centre's efforts to become more involved in the local community, and such was the interest that the work was kept on display for a week. The exhibition also helped to raise money for the centre, with Barchester Healthcare buying the pieces.
