Kernow House, residents from the dementia care unit created a picture with the help of local artist, David Whittley. Pauline Atanasio, activities manager at Kernow House, explained: "The picture relates to the residents' illness and depicts a cluster of forget-me-nots. This was the flower that started the idea growing for an art project with people that suffer from dementia." During five sessions with David Whittley, eight of the residents created the picture. Pauline said: "The woman sleeping relates to the mind not being able to remember. The sweeping flowers that are open relate to lucid times of remembrance. The starlike sky relates to the agony of trying to capture the past and all the experiences life gives us."
