Kenwyn visits the Caribbean for an evening
01/11/2007
Residents and staff at Kenwyn Care Home have enjoyed their Chef's Competition Day.

Residents and staff at Kenwyn Care Home have enjoyed their Chef's Competition Day.

The fun kicked off with a party hosted by two clowns and featuring frolics of both a magical and musical nature.

Then in the evening the main dining room became a galley as the residents boarded ship for a night-time spectacular entitled The Pirates Of Penzance: Kenwyn Go To The Caribbean.

Pirate Bill was on top form and gave a rousing rendition of The Pirates Of Penzance and music from Captain Pugwash.

And there was some hearty fare for the mariners, with a Caribbean feast presented by head chef Richard Bonner and his team.

The seafarers rounded off their fantastic evening with a chorus of the Cornish anthem Trelawney and such a good time was had by all that they were rather reluctant to return to land. Dining room, ahoy!
