A Celebration of Life

Residents at Kenwyn Care Home enjoyed the now annual event of the Barchester Healthcare's Chef's and Activities competition day yesterday.

This years theme was "A celebration of life".

Throughout the day residents enjoyed activities associated with the years that span the births of our residents - from 1905 to 1966. The day started with a Victorian style breakfast followed by traditional playground games.

The afternoon saw musical entertainment and dancing followed by a brief rest before the grand finale - a three course meal in the restaurant followed by entertainment of songs from the 50's and 60's from Freddy Zapp.

Freddy gave his services for free and the residents committee donated the equivalent fee along with other monies donated on the night to the Radio Cornwall Precious Lives Appeal.

A fantastic day and evening was had by all.
