A resident of Iddenshall Hall care home in Cheshire has just celebrated her 103rd birthday.
Lucy Williams, who has been at the home since 2000, marked the milestone with her daughter Susan and son-in-law Michael, along with other residents and staff.
Jean Dutton, the head chef at Iddenshall, presented Lucy with a birthday cake.
Ms Dutton said: "Lucy was given a bouquet of flowers and her cake.
"She drank sparkling wine with her family. Quite a few residents joined her."
She added: "She had a bit of a singsong along to songs from her era."
Lucy was born and raised in Bloxwich, Staffordshire. She worked for Wesleyan and General Insurance Company in Birmingham until her marriage in September 1927.
She has four children, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Her hobbies include singing, reciting rhymes and chatting with friends.
