Barchester staff raise money for Cancer Research
03/04/2008
Staff at the Hunters Care Centre help raise £250 for Cancer Research.

Staff members at Barchester Healthcare's Hunters Care Centre have been devoting their spare time to helping raise money for Cancer Research.

The Memory Lane team, led by Tanya Foord, recently held a charity skittles night in honour of one of their co-worker's son who suffers from multiple Myeloma – despite being only 42-years-old.

A local public house provided a free venue and two teams of staff competed in a game of skittles.

In total the event raised £250 for Cancer Research, through a raffle featuring prizes donated by the care home's suppliers.

The care home's staff have pledged to continued their fundraising efforts throughout the rest of the year in support of their colleague and her family.
