The Highlight of the Year

The highlight of the year had to be the "Cats" event for the Barchester Chef competition. Everyone was involved to make the day a great success.
Staff dressed up as cats, the musical was shown around the home, special menus were created and food was presented on cat-shaped doyleys. Activities staff created activities related to all sorts of cats and there was a cats' quiz.
The most moving part of the day was when a 95 year old resident played "Memories" from sheet music. She has memory loss and hadn't seen the music before. Second chef, Sam Whyte went on to take part in the Barchester Chef Final at Westminster College.
Everyone at Hunters was so proud of her as she remained cool, calm and collected and won a food safety award.
