Travelling by car
From the North, follow the A1 South over the river Tyne to the exit signposted as the Angel of the North. Follow the A167 Durham Road to the junction of Sunderland Road.

From the South, follow the A1 north leaving the A1 at the exit signposted as the Angel of the North. Follow the A167 along Durham Road to the junction of Sunderland Road.
