Overview
Set back in its own grounds, Harton Grange is an integral part of the local community of South Shields. Since opening in 2004, the Home has established an excellent reputation for the fine care it provides. We provide first class 24 hour general residential care, as well as specialist care for those with dementia related illnesses in our Memory Lane Community. We strive to provide person centred care to meet the needs of the individual within an atmosphere which is friendly, relaxing and fun.
Our home is rated ‘Good' by the Commission of Social Care Inspection (CSCI). CSCI is the independent body that regularly inspects all care homes in England. We provide opportunities for residents to have a peaceful quiet environment also to socialise as they wish, we have a selection of lounges, quite room, activities areas Living Kitchen for residents, reminisces room, also a garden and patio areas and visitors are always welcome to spend quality time with their loved ones.

Location
Harton Grange is situated in an area with easy access to public transport including the metro line with direct link to Newcastle airport. We are close to local amenities including a public library. Harton Grange is only a 5 minute drive to the picturesque North East coast line.

Travelling by car
From the North follow the A19 through the Tyne Tunnel taking the first exit at the Tyne Tunnel roundabout and follow signposts to South Shields.
From the South follow the A19 northwards. Exit from the A19 before reaching the Tyne Tunnel and continue on the A182 following signposts for South Shields.
