Local care home competes for chance to meet Charli

Epsom Beaumont is excited to announce its entry into a national gardening competition with the opportunity to meet celebrity gardener Charlie Dimmock. 

Residents and staff at The Epsom Beaumont are competing against 170 other care homes across the UK in the hope of meeting Charlie Dimmock at the final awards ceremony in October and be in with a chance of winning gardening equipment for their care home.

Gardener Peter Deer at The Beaumont said: "We work hard on our garden so that our residents and visitors can enjoy the outdoors but we are making an extra special effort this year for the competition and many of our residents have also got involved.  We were runners up last year and this year have entered the Best Hanging Basker and Best All Round Garden Category.

Charlie Dimmock said, "I'm delighted to be involved with the Barchester in Bloom competition again this year.  Each year the entries get more imaginative and inspiring so it will be great to see what the homes come up with this time round.  Outdoor space is so important for everyone and it's great to see that Barchester are committed to providing stimulating gardens and gardening activities for their residents to enjoy."
