Dudwell showcases rowing talent for Alzheimer's Soc

Dudwell St Mary has entered a team into the tenth annual 'Funraisers' Dragon Boat Festival.
Led by general manager Geoff Price, the Barchester Bravehearts raised money for the local Hastings Alzheimer's Society.
Mr Pride, an experienced open-canoeist, has competed in two previous Dragon Boat races, while Greig Fulton, from Barchester's Inverness Office, is a member of Inverness Rowing Club.
Other members of the team were novices dependent on their months of intense training to get them through.
The team hopes their efforts will generate £2,000 for the local Hastings Alzheimer's Society.
Dudwell has developed strong links with the Society since it opened a specialist dementia care centre last year called Memory Lane.
The money will go towards the Society's Community Befriending Scheme, which involves recruiting, training and matching volunteers with a carer or someone with dementia. The scheme has so far been a success but is in need of more funding.
