Christmas

The festive season went with a swing at Badgeworth Court, the tree was decked, mince pies eaten and carols sung in a jolly fashion.

The Christmas Bazaar was well attended by residents and friends and everyone enjoyed the Christmas Show performed by The Edwardian Balladiers. Residents and staff enjoyed lunch at The Cheese Rollers and everyone settled down to watch "White Christmas". There was a visit from carol singers in the village and a Christmas Carol service for the residents conducted by the Vicar from Badgeworth Church. The staff also enjoyed an evening out at The Cheltenham Chase Hotel.

The main attraction though had to be the Christmas Party. As soon as the music started residents joined in singing old time songs. Phil, one of the nurses sang "I'm for ever blowing bubbles" and some residents enjoyed dancing with the staff who were dressed up as Elves and Fairies. Bucks fizz was served as an aperitif before residents retired to the dining room where the tables were set in red and white, crackers were pulled and a special Christmas Tea was served. Of course, Father Christmas paid a visit during the bingo (!!) and presented gifts, awards and raffle prizes to residents and staff alike.
