Jumbo Wishes Come True!

Staff at Awel y Mor made a wish come true for resident Lesley Davies. Lesley loves elephants and had always wanted to meet one, so the activities team secretly arranged to take her to Hereford to Bobby Roberts Circus to meet "Anne" the elephant.

"Anne" no longer performs in the circus but likes being smoothed and stroked. Lesley was able to feed her and tickle her and even gave her a little kiss! "Anne" was quite happy to have her photo taken. She's no stranger to the camera having featured in a number of television adverts.

Anne is an Indian elephant who came over from Sri Lanka in the late 1950's.
