Pirates Ahoy!!

With shouts of "shiver me timbers" and "aye, aye Jim Lad", Awel y Mor became overrun with pirates, but just for the day. The weather joined in the fun and so residents, relatives and staff in swashbuckling fancy dress enjoyed the party on the patio.

The Pirate Party was also the opportunity to present the winners of the Awel y Mor care awards. Staff and residents had all voted the member of staff they thought deserved the award, through hard work, or just going the extra mile.
Louise Kissick was presented with the award for the best night carer and Jan Cooper won best carer overall, Muriel Smith also won an award but unfortunately was unable to collect her award at the Pirate party - so no photos, but well done Muriel.
