Ashlar House Care Home

Overview
Our Memory Lane unit, which specifically provides speciallist dementia care, of both long term and respite care, is situated overlooking Epping Forest. The Home is in a lovely quiet location but within easy access of the local amenities of Epping Town. Ashlar House is a purpose built care home and the design encourages people living here to be as independent as possible.
The environment is specifically tailored to allow access to the maximum space, with the entrance area being designed to include themes which will help our residents to associate with memories of the past.
We have three stunningly themed courtyard gardens which are easily accessible to our residents allowing access to outside space in a secure environment. The gardens are designed with "seaside", "sensory" and a "working" garden where some of our vegatables are freshly grown.
The Home which is registered for 36 residents in single en-suite rooms and is all on one level, yet boasts two large lounges, dining room and spacious corridors. It is warm and inviting encouraging interaction with other residents and staff creating a lovely homely atmosphere. It is our philosophy that Ashlar House is our residents home, and life does not stop because the individual needs care.
Our home is rated ‘Good' by the Commission of Social Care Inspection (CSCI). CSCI is the independent body that regularly inspects all care homes in England. It now publishes the ratings it awards each home - excellent, good, adequate and poor. To download our latest inspection report, please click here.
