01/05/2008
A Barchester care home has recived a 'good' CSCI rating.

A Barchester Group care home has been awarded a top accolade by the nursing home watchdog.

The Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) deemed that Adlington Manor care home was worthy of one of its top ratings after a recent inspection.

Overall the Macclesfield-based care home received a 'good' rating.

The 82-bed home's general manager, Helen Lewis, said: "We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality care and we respect and celebrate the individuality of all of our residents.

"This rating comes as a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team at the home."

Previously, Barchester Healthcare has encouraged other care home providers to be open about their CSCI ratings.

The group was the first to publish its overall results for 2007, with 20 of its homes receiving an 'excellent' rating and a further 60 per cent been deemed 'good'.
